Eli Lilly (LLY) expects that its experimental weight loss pill will get approved as soon as early next year, CEO David Ricks said in an interview with Bloomberg TV at the JPMorgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco. The drugmaker expects data on the pill, called orforglipron, to arrive before the middle of 2025, which could lead to clearance in early 2026, Ricks said. A weight loss pill would offer more convenience to patients and would be easier to manufacture, he added.
