RBC Capital analyst Fernando Garcia upgraded EDP Renovaveis to Outperform from Sector Perform with a price target of EUR 16, down from EUR 17.50. The company’s growth strategy has to be revisited shortly to accommodate its targeted increase of renewable capacity to its current earnings power, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm says the shares are trading below EDP’s invested capital.
