Electronic Arts’ (EA) "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor" reached the top spot in the U.K.’s physical sales charts and has emerged as the second biggest game launch of 2023, Gamesindustry.biz’s Christopher Dring reports. The title sits behind Warner Bros. Discovery’s (WBD) "Hogwarts Legacy" but well ahead of Capcom’s (CCOEY) "Resident Evil 4" in the year’s list of fastest-selling physical games in Great Britain, the author says, noting "Survivor" is the eighth biggest "Star Wars" boxed release from the last 30 years. The opening week sales for "Survivor" are 35% lower than that of its predecessor, 2019’s "Jedi: Fallen Order," Dring says, noting that "Survivor" has a higher retail price in the U.K. than "Fallen Order" did during its launch.
