DuckDuckGo CEO Gabriel Weinberg testified in D.C. District Court that Google’s exclusive contracts presented an “obstacle” for the smaller search engine company in pitching browsers on becoming the default search platform for their private browsing modes, CNBC’s Lauren Feiner reports. Weinberg said that DuckDuckGo, which is known for its privacy-centric search engine, had at a certain point pitched its product to be the default in private browsing modes of other browsers, the author notes.
