Goldman Sachs analysts added Dollar General to the firm’s US Conviction List as part of its August update. The firm has a Buy rating on the shares with a $169 price target. Goldman believes the concerns around the low income consumer, discretionary spend and competition are overdone as Dollar General’s “back to basics” initiative is driving improved results.
