The Justice Department is set to file an antitrust lawsuit against Apple (AAPL) in federal court as soon as Thursday in which it will accuse the tech company of violating laws by blocking rivals from accessing hardware and software features of its iPhone, reported Bloomberg’s Anna Edgerton, Kartikay Mehrotra, and Leah Nylen, citing people familiar with the matter. The Justice Department is already suing Alphabet’s (GOOGL) Google for monopolization, while the Federal Trade Commission is pursuing antitrust cases against Meta Platforms (META) and Amazon (AMZN), the report noted.
