The U.S. DOE says it will suspend its mandatory survey of energy use by crypto miners, following a lawsuit by bitcoin miner Riot Platforms (RIOT) and an industry group. Other publicly traded bitcoin miners include Marathon Digital Holdings (MARA), Cipher Mining (CIFR), Canaan (CAN), and Hut 8 Mining (HUT).
