The U.S. Department of Energy is negotiating terms of an agreement that would lend a “record” $1B to Lithium Americas to fund more than half of the cost of the Thacker Pass mine in Nevada, a person familiar with the matter told Bloomberg’s Jacob Lorinc, Ari Natter and Yvonne Yue Li.
