Delta (DAL) CEO Ed Bastian says IT outage earlier this month that stranded thousands of customers will cost it $500M, CNBC’s Leslie Josephs reports. The airline canceled more than 4,000 flights in the wake of the outage, which as caused by a glitched CrowdStrike (CRWD) software update and taking thousands of Microsoft (MSFT) systems around the world offline. Bastian, speaking from Paris, told CNBC’s “Squawk Box” that the carrier will seek damages from the disruptions, adding, “We have no choice.”
