Deutsche Bank placed a “Catalyst Call: Buy” on shares of Cummins as a short-term investment idea. The stock has underperformed the group year-to-date and Cummins has potential for a sizeable earnings beat in Q2 as Northam America Class 8 production has remained robust quarter-to-date, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm also sees the potential for a “material raise” to the full year outlook, given increasing probability that build rates remain steady through year-end.
