Crypto companies return to India, hope restrictions will lessen, Bloomberg says

Many crypto companies are returning to India as they bet regulators may ease restrictions on digital-asset trading, Sidhartha Shukla of Bloomberg reports. Coinbase Global (COIN) has registered with India’s Financial Intelligence Unit, part of its plan to roll out its retail trading platform in the country. This comes after local registrations by Binance, Bybit, and KuCoin and underscores a renewed interest in the Indian market. Publicly traded companies in the cryptocurrency space include Bit Digital (BTBT), Bitfarms (BITF), Core Scientific (CORZ), Greenidge Generation (GREE), Mara Holdings (MARA), Riot Platforms (RIOT), Strategy (MSTR), Stronghold Digital Mining (SDIG) and TeraWulf (WULF).
