Compass Point upgrades Affirm ton Walmart loss selloff

Compass Point analyst Giuliano Bologna last night upgraded Affirm (AFRM) to Buy from Neutral with a price target of $64, up from $61. After Klarna Group (KLAR) announced a partnership with OnePay to exclusively power installment loans at Walmart (WMT) in the U.S., Affirm shares have pulled back 13%, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm believes the pullback is “overdone and creates a unique buying opportunity.” Compass does not believe losing Walmart will have a material impact on Affirm’s fiscal 2026 and 2027 estimates. It continues to believe that if the company continues the trend of impressive outperformance,” there could be upside to despite the loss of Walmart.
