The government of Chile unveiled its lithium development policy, in which the country will team up with companies in projects to use more of the world’s largest reserves of the battery metal, Bloomberg’s James Attwood reports, citing a national television address by President Gabriel Boric. State copper giant Codelco will initially enlist partners for new contracts but the role will be undertaken by a dedicated national lithium company when its established.
