Canadian Pacific (CP) said that, on April 14, it will exercise the authority granted by the U.S. Surface Transportation Board’s March 15 final decision and combine with Kansas City Southern (KSU) to create Canadian Pacific Kansas City, the first and only single-line railway connecting the U.S., Mexico and Canada. As previously announced, Keith Creel will become President and CEO of CPKC.
