BuzzFeed close to selling Complex Networks for uner $140M, NY Times says

BuzzFeed (BZFD) is in advanced talks to sell of Complex Networks for under $140M, less than half of the $300M it paid to acquire the asset two years ago, Benjamin Mullin of New York Times reports. Ntwrk, an e-commerce company backed by LiveNation Entertainment and Main Street Advisors, is close to buying Complex, two people familiar with the deal tell the Times. Buzzfeed is planning to keep First We Feast, the division of Complex responsible for the “Hot Ones” interview franchise, after the transaction, one of the people said.
