Wells Fargo analyst Elyse Greenspan upgraded Brighthouse Financial (BHF) to Equal Weight from Underweight with a price target of $59, up from $41. The firm cites media reports of a potential sale for the upgrade. Brighthouse has “scarcity value as it is one of the few standalone annuity platforms that still does not have a strong sponsor/alternative investment manager entanglement,” the analyst tells investors in a research note.
