Barclays lowered the firm’s price target on Bread Financial (BFH) to $26 from $27 and keeps an Underweight rating on the shares as part of a Q1 preview for the consumer lending space. The analyst downgraded American Express (AXP) and says Navient (NAVI) faces additional net interest margin headwinds from accelerated FFELP paydowns during the quarter. The firm continues to favor SLM (SLM), saying “it is the cleanest name into the print.”
