BP mulls sale of minority stake in offshore wind unit, Reuters reports

BP (BP) is mulling selling a minority interest in its offshore wind unit, Reuters’ Andres Gonzalez and Ron Bousso report, citing four sources with knowledge of the matter. The company has faced pressure from investors over its energy transition strategy, which first began in 2020, as renewables profit thinned while oil and gas margins increased, the authors note. BP has tapped Bank of America (BAC) to help it search for partners for the business, the authors say.
