Fourteen families of victims from last year’s Jeju Air crash in South Korea have filed a lawsuit against Boeing (BA) in the U.S, following an accident that killed 179 of 181 people on board, The New York Times’ John Yoon and Mark Walker report. The December 2024 crash, when the plane burst into flames after striking a concrete-reinforced berm during a belly landing, remains under investigation as officials examine potential factors such as a reported bird strike, the runway’s design, and the pilots’ engine shutdown decision.
