Boeing my face a potential strike as soon as this coming Friday if most of the company’s factory workers in the Pacific Northwest vote on Thursday to support a work stoppage and spurn a tentative agreement that has enraged many of them, Reuters’ Allison Lampert reports. About 30,000 staff who make Boeing’s 737 MAX, 767, and 777 aircraft in Portland, Oregon and the Seattle, Washington area will vote on their first full contract in 16 years, though a key union negotiator has said that many of the workers are upset because they wanted bigger wage increases and other improvements, the author notes.
