Blue Owl Capital (OWL) is exploring the sale of a portion of a fund that owns minority stakes in alternative asset managers, Gillian Tan of Bloomberg reports, citing people with knowledge of the matter. Blue Owl has begun talks on the strip sale involving the $9B vehicle Dyal Capital Partners IV LP with potentially interested parties, sources told Bloomberg. A sale would provide Blue Owl with the ability to distribute capital to investors, Bloomberg adds. Shares of Blue Owl are down 3% to $21.11 in midday trading.
