Block will be laying off a “large number” of its workers, Business Insider’s Kali Hays reports, citing a note viewed by Business Insider. While CEO Jack Dorsey did not specify the number of Block staff that would lose their jobs on Tuesday, a person familiar with the company told Business Insider that the number was close to 1,000.
