BlackRock, Microsoft plan $30B fund to invest in AI infrastructure, FT reports

BlackRock (BLK) is preparing to launch a more than $30B artificial intelligence investment fund with its new infrastructure investment unit, Global Infrastructure Partners, and partner Microsoft (MSFT) to build data centers and energy projects stemming from AI, people briefed about the matter told Financial Times’ Brooke Masters, Antoine Gara and James Fontanella-Khan. Microsoft and MGX, the Abu Dhabi-backed investment company, are general partners in the fund, while Nvidia (NVDA) was providing expertise, the sources said.
