Barnes & Noble Education announced that its board of directors has appointed Jonathan Shar as the company’s new CEO, effective June 11. Shar succeeds Michael Huseby, who has resigned as CEO, effective June 11. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Shar served as president of Barnes & Noble College and executive VP of BNED Retail.
