Goldman Sachs analyst Chris Hallam initiated coverage of Barclays with a Buy rating and 290 GBp price target Despite outperforming the sector so far through 2024, Barclays remains inexpensive when compared to European peers and its own history, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm expects Barclays will grow its earnings twice as fast as peers and says the bank’s earnings should prove resilient to falling interest rates.
