Baker Hughes reports that the U.S. Rig Count is down 3 from last week to 755 with oil rigs down 1 to 592, gas rigs down 2 to 160 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 3. The U.S. Rig Count is up 82 rigs from last year’s count of 673 with oil rigs up 59, gas rigs up 22 and miscellaneous up 1. The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 18, up 4 year-over-year. The Canada Rig Count is down 26 from last week to 139, with oil rigs down 28 to 58, gas rigs up 2 to 81. The Canada Rig Count is up 15 rigs from last year’s count of 124 with oil down 6, gas rigs up 21.
