According to a Bain & Company financial forecast, the global video game industry’s revenue could exceed $300B by 2027, Insider Gaming’s Grant Taylor-Hill reports. It was suggested in the Bain report that the sector’s global revenue were achieve a CAGR of 9% betwee 2024 and 2027, taking the revenue cap from $199B in 2022 to $307B by 2027, the author notes. Publicly traded companies in the space include Microsoft (MSFT), Sony (SONY), Roblox (RBLX), Electronic Arts (EA), GameStop (GME), NetEase (NTES), Nintendo (NTDOY), Take-Two (TTWO), Tencent (TCEHY) and Ubisoft (UBSFY).
