As previously reported, B. Riley upgraded Core Scientific to Buy from Neutral with a price target of $13, up from 50c. The firm views Core as “a future leader” in high performance computing, or HPC, hosting thanks to superior economics in the CoreWeave deals and management’s deep experience in operating enterprise data centers, adding that it believes Core Scientific’s expansion into HPC and subsequent agreements with CoreWeave “serve as strong validation of our view that miners will turn to economies of scope.”
