Aptiv (APTV), which announced a spinoff plan for its electrical distribution systems business back in January, is now reaching out to potential buyers for the unit, according to Bloomberg’s David Carnevali, citing people familiar with the matter. The sources said that Aptiv “could seek a valuation of $5B for the business,” adding that a sale may attract interest from both strategic buyers and private equity firms.
