Apple’s (AAPL) new fees for app developers are drawing attention from European Commission watchdogs recently, writes Bloomberg’s Samuel Stolton… Apples new “core technology fee” is 51c for each installed app to developers, added the Bloomberg story, according to people familiar with the matter. “The extra scrutiny comes as Silicon Valley bosses have urged incoming President Donald Trump to challenge EU efforts to rein in the alleged abuses of Big Tech…. “as ‘almost a tariff, ” levied on US firms, added Bloomberg. Other ompanies that may be impacted include Meta (META) and Google (GOOG).
