Amazon’s revamped Alexa set to release in October will be primarily powered by Anthropic’s Claude AI models, Greg Bensinger of Reuters reports, citing people familiar with the matter. Amazon plans to charge $5 to $10 a month for its new version of Alexa, but will still offer the ‘Classic’ voice assistant for free. After having issues using in-house software, Apple turned to Anthropic’s Claude, which performed better than its own models, sources added.
