Apple is seeking to fully automate iPhone assembly lines, helping to reduce its reliance on China, including by acquiring startups like DarwinAI, The Information’s Wayne Ma reports. The iPhone maker has told managers to reduce by as much as half the number of workers on final assembly iPhone lines using automation, Ma writes.
