Apple iPhone 17 momentum ‘cooling off,’ says Jefferies

Jefferies believes the iPhone 17 series’ initial sales momentum was strong, but reports that the firm’s tracking shows it has been cooling off as delivery lead time has been generally falling. The U.S. remains the weakest market among the six the firm tracks as the lead time there on iPhone17 was zero, versus double-digit days in the other five markets, and its lead time on 17PM is about four days shorter than last year, the analyst tells investors. For China, the initial market response is stronger than expected, but momentum also seems to be slowing, according to the analyst, who has a Hold rating on Apple (AAPL) shares.
