Apple has talked to Indian officials about locating some iPad manufacturing in the country amid souring U.S. relations with China and China’s COVID crackdowns, Seema Mody of CNBC reports. India is exploring options to bring some of Apple’s iPad production to the country from China, two sources close to the Indian government told CNBC. Apple is said to be holding ongoing discussions with officials but no concrete plans have been made, according to Mody. Sources caution that a lack of highly skilled talent and individuals with expertise in building highly complex devices like the iPad could slow down Apple’s plans in India, adds Mody. Reference Link
