Private equity firms Apollo Global Management (APO) and Sycamore Partners are among the bidders who are competing to acquire the discount Family Dollar retail brand operated by Dollar Tree (DLTR), people familiar with the matter told Reuters. Brigade Capital Management has also expressed interest in buying Family Dollar, the sources added according to the report.
