Analog Devices sees Q3 auto, comms markets at ‘higher end of normal seasonality’

Asked on the company’s earnings call about how the company is viewing demand and growth in the back half of this year, executives from Analog Devices (ADI) replied in part: “Again, this is not guidance for three Q, but I’ll give you kind of what we see as trends typically over the last ten years for our third quarter. Industrial auto and comms are usually flat plus or minus a little depending on where you are in the cycle. Given what Vince was saying about the industry normalizing, new wins coming on, I think those markets should be flat to up. So I think on the higher end of what normal seasonality is for those businesses and the consumer side, they typically start your holiday builds, which means you start growing five, 10% in three.”
