Three American Airlines (AAL) pilots involved in a near-collision on a runway in New York last month will appear for interviews with the National Transportation Safety Board, NTSB, Alison Sider of The Wall Street Journal reports, citing comments made by their union. Subpoenas were issued to the pilots after they declined requests to participate in audio-recorded interviews. The Allied Pilots Association union said at the time recording was unnecessary and could lead to less candid responses from the witnesses. The near collision incident involved a close call between an American Airlines plane and a Delta Air Lines (DAL) jet last month, when the plane taxied across the wrong runway. Reference Link
