American Airlines consensus estimates ‘need to come up,’ says Morgan Stanley

Morgan Stanley keeps an Overweight rating and $20 price target on American Airlines shares following the company’s first investor day in seven years. While the event “perhaps lacked a headline-grabbing announcement or metric,” management painted a picture of compounding earnings growth by focusing on the basics, says the firm. Consensus out-year numbers “need to come up meaningfully and the stock has only just begun to reward this,” the analyst added.
