Amazon (AMZN) decided at the last minute to withdraw from investing in Figure earlier in 2024, declining to take part in a funding round that valued the AI robotics startup at $2.6B, Business Insider’s Eugene Kim reports. In February, the startup said it raised $675M from companies including Microsoft (MSFT), OpenAI, Nvidia (NVDA), and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, the author notes.
