Amazon offered to resolve California AG suit last year, Bloomberg reports

Amazon offered to resolve an antitrust probe by the California AG’s office days before the state filed a lawsuit accusing the company of policies that allegedly lead to “artificially high prices” for consumers, Bloomberg’s Leah Nylen reports. In a letter to the office of California’s AG dated September 13, 2022, the ecommerce giant’s lead competition lawyer Bryson Bachman wrote that Amazon was willing to alter its seller notices and pricing policies to make clear that it doesn’t mandate price parity with other websites, Nylen says.
