Jefferies believes that following a wait of more than 10 months, investors will “look positively” on Alphabet’s (GOOGL) appointment of former Eli Lilly (LLY) executive Anat Ashkenazi being appointed as CFO. Lilly’s shares delivered a 300%-plus return during Anat’s tenure as CFO, noted the analyst, who sees potential for Anat to bring “much needed disclosures” to Alphabet, such as revenue, margin and EPS guidance, which the analyst believes would “allow investors to underwrite a higher multiple.” Jefferies has a Buy rating and $200 price target on shares of Google’s parent.
