Mizuho analyst Anthony Crowdell downgraded Alliant Energy (LNT) to Neutral from Buy with a price target of $55, down from $64. The analyst cites the changing regulatory environment in Wisconsin for the downgrade. Wisconsin is critical for the growth of Alliant , as it is where the majority of its rate base growth is slated to occur in the coming years, says the analyst. He’s concerned that with the recent scrutiny of the WEC Energy (WEC) settlement agreement in December and turnover on the Public Service Commission, the regulatory environment in this state is becoming less constructive.
