Alcoa reports Q1 Alumina production down 4% from Q4

The company states: “Alumina production decreased 4% sequentially to 2.67M metric tons on lower production from the Australia refineries. In Aluminum, Alcoa produced 542,000 metric tons, consistent with the fourth quarter’s strong output. In the Alumina segment, third-party shipments of alumina increased 6 percent sequentially primarily due to increased trading. In Aluminum, total shipments decreased 1% sequentially.”
