Guggenheim analyst John DiFucci upgraded Akamai Technologies to Buy from Neutral with a $128 price target. The analyst believes Akamai is “finally set up to transform itself” from a content delivery network company to a platform. The company can leverage its leadership CDN position to deliver security and cloud solutions that will not only provide incremental value in themselves, but will also increase the value of Akamai’s leading CDN business, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm says Akamai is “very attractively valued if it can achieve this ultimate state.”
