Airbus is planning to develop a lightweight wing in the UK for its next generation of A320 airlines, Sylvia Pfeifer of The Financial Times reports. Airbus has invested in a wing technology development center at its Filton site, which will be used to build and test wing demonstrators. This investment is part of the company’s efforts to develop a more fuel-efficient aircraft to replace its A320 family of jets.
