The U.S. Air Force has awarded 23 companies positions on a potential 10-year, $12.5B multiple-award contract to modernize, maintain and operate the Department of the Air Force’s base area network infrastructure, the Department of Defense announced on Friday. Awardees include Lumen (LUMN), AT&T (T), Booz Allen (BAH), General Dynamics Information Technology (GD), and Telos (TLS). Work will be performed globally and is expected to be completed by August 15, 2034. This contract was a competitive acquisition, and 47 offers were received, the DoD said. Fiscal 2024 operation and maintenance funds in the amount of $11,500 are being obligated at the time of award. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Cyber and Networks Contracting Organization, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.
