SMART DELIVERY GLASSES: Amazon (AMZN) is developing smart delivery glasses to help Delivery Associates, or DAs, identify hazards, seamlessly navigate to customer’s doorsteps, and improve customer deliveries. The wearable system was designed and optimized with input from hundreds of DAs, drivers who work for Delivery Service Partners, or DSPs. The devices implement advanced computer vision processing and AI integration for seamless driver experiences. “Amazon is adding to that system by introducing smart delivery glasses – wearable technology that makes the DA experience even safer and more seamless. Designed specifically for DAs, these glasses help them scan packages, follow turn-by-turn walking directions, and capture proof of delivery – all without the use of their phone. The glasses create a hands-free experience, reducing the need to look between the phone, the package, and the surrounding area,” the company said. “Amazon’s smart glasses leverage AI-powered sensing capabilities and computer vision, along with cameras to create a heads-up display that includes everything from navigation details to hazards to delivery tasks. When drivers safely park at a delivery location, the glasses automatically activate and the DA is given their delivery information – right in their field of view – starting with locating the right packages inside their vehicles to the corresponding homes.”

Amazon’s newest operations technologies include Blue Jay, a system coordinating multiple robotic arms, and Project Eluna, an agentic AI model helping operators make more informed decisions. Blue Jay and Project Eluna work alongside operations employees to create safer and more efficient workspaces. These advanced innovations build on several recent AI and automation breakthroughs for our operations, like Vulcan and DeepFleet. “Our latest innovations are great examples of how we’re using AI and robotics to create an even better experience for our employees and customers,” says Tye Brady, chief technologist for Amazon Robotics. “The goal is to make technology the most practical, the most powerful tool it can be – so that work becomes safer, smarter, and more rewarding.” Blue Jay and Project Eluna build on recent advances like Vulcan and DeepFleet, extending Amazon’s approach to physical AI – technology that learns from contact, coordinates at scale, and supports people in the real world.

CRUSOE: Data center start-up Crusoe has raised $1.4B, more than tripling its valuation to over $10B in one year, as investors pile cash into a booming market for artificial intelligence infrastructure, Financial Times’ Tabby Kinder reports. The oversubscribed equity fundraising round was led by Mubadala Capital and Valor Equity Partners. Crusoe, which is building Microsoft (MSFT)-backed OpenAI’s first big data center in the U.S., has raised about $3.9B since it was founded in 2018, the author notes.

STARGATE DATA CENTER SITE: OpenAI, Oracle (ORCL), and DigitalBridge-backed (DBRG) Vantage Data Centers announced plans to develop a data center campus outside Milwaukee in Port Washington, Wisconsin. The new campus is part of OpenAI and Oracle’s previously announced partnership to invest up to 4.5 gigawatts of additional Stargate capacity and is the Midwest site that was recently announced as part of OpenAI’s Stargate expansion. The campus will feature four cutting-edge data centers providing close to a gigawatt of AI capacity. Construction will begin soon and is scheduled for completion in 2028. The project expects to create more than 4,000 skilled construction jobs, most of which will be union jobs. Once complete, Vantage and Oracle will create more than 1,000 long-term jobs and thousands more indirect jobs.

GENSPARK: Genspark is in talks to raise over $200M at a valuation of over $1B in a new funding round, sources told Forbes‘ Anna Tong. The fundraising comes months after the AI agent startup closed a $100M series A round valuing the company at $530M, the report noted.

GOOGLE EARTH AI: Google (GOOGL) introduced new Earth AI innovations. The company said, “Earlier this year, we introduced Google Earth AI to solve this core challenge. By pairing our family of powerful foundation models with a geospatial reasoning agent, which uses our latest Gemini models, it’s becoming possible to perform complex, real-world reasoning at planetary scale. The models provide detailed understanding of our planet, grounded in real-world data. The agent, in turn, acts as an intelligent orchestrator. It deconstructs a complex question into a multi-step plan; executes the plan by calling on these foundation models, querying vast datastores, and using geospatial tools; and finally fuses the results at each step into a holistic answer. Today, we’re introducing new Earth AI innovations: New Imagery and Population foundation models, along with technical details and evaluations showing state-of-the-art performance; Demonstrations of our geospatial reasoning agent using these models to solve complex, multi-step geospatial queries.

MICO: Microsoft is dropping the Copilot Fall Release, “a big step forward in making AI more personal, useful, and human-centered.” The company said that, “Instead of tech that demands more attention, we’re making tech that gives you back time for the things that matter. Instead of AI that replaces human judgment, we’re building AI that empowers your own – helping you make better decisions, spark your creativity, deepen your connections. Here’s the simple idea I keep coming back to: technology should work in service of people. Not the other way around. Ever. That’s the principle behind Copilot. In this, it’s not just a product – it’s a promise. A promise that AI can be helpful, supportive, and deeply personal. It’s built around your creativity, your productivity, your relationships. I often say you should judge an AI by how much it elevates human potential, not just by its own smarts… It’s in this context that we talk about an AI companion. It helps you think, plan, and dream, but always on your terms. It adapts to your needs and context, remembers what matters to you, and learns from your feedback. And it looks out for your interests. As we build this, we’re not chasing engagement or optimizing for screen time… Copilot now connects you to yourself, to others, and to the tools you use every day. It’s there for you, helps you stay organized, and even supports your health. It brings people together in shared chats, helps you learn with voice and visuals, and shows up with warmth, personality and even an appearance: Mico. When we started talking about this idea of an AI companion a few years ago it seemed distant and uncertain. Now it’s real, it’s here. We can’t wait for you to feel the difference.”
