BTIG notes that Affirm (AFRM) announced its buy-now-pay-later, or BNPL, products are expected to be available to Apple Pay (AAPL) users in the United States later this year on the heels of Apple’s announcement yesterday of new Apple Wallet features. These announcements, and potentially more when Apple hosts another product session on Thursday titled “What’s New in Wallet and Apple Pay,” are “a stark reminder of the competition” PayPal (PYPL) is facing, the analyst tells investors. BTIG has Neutral ratings on both Affirm and PayPal.
