The company states: “AeroVironment (AVAV) announced it has been awarded its third delivery order totaling $288 million of Switchblade(R) loitering munition systems as part of U.S. Army’s Directed Requirement (DR) for Lethal Unmanned Systems. The delivery is part of a 5-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground, with a contract ceiling value of $990 million, announced in August 2024.”
