Academy Sports price target raised to $62 from $57 at Wedbush

Wedbush analyst Seth Basham raised the firm’s price target on Academy Sports to $62 from $57 and keeps an Outperform rating on the shares. The analyst notes the company reported Q3 results that missed on the top line but beat on the bottom line. Academy Sports was facing a tough comparison in the prior year period with the biggest challenge occurring within its outdoor category, and more specifically the hunting category where it struggled to lap high-double digits comps in ammunition as it was up against a tremendous surge in demand during this time frame, Basham points out.
